SXSW Roof Topping Party - Event Recap
What began as a vision is now reaching the skyline, thanks to the passion and tireless efforts of many. On July 29, 2025, we came together to celebrate those people and the roof topping of Towers 1 and 2 at SXSW, marking an exciting new chapter in this community’s story.
Primont employees, tradespeople, agents, and partners gathered on-site for an afternoon of celebration and recognition to mark this important moment.
The party kicked off in the ground-floor lobby area of Tower 1, where guests were welcomed with a colourful grazing table filled with fresh cheeses, fruit, and charcuterie, alongside a coffee station brewing throughout the afternoon.
After enjoying some refreshments, guests gathered to hear remarks from Primont President Joe Montesano. “This isn’t just concrete and steel, it’s a new community and a future home for so many. It’s a symbol of what we can accomplish together.”
Joe was pleased to introduce the next speaker and special guest, City of Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca. Mayor Del Duca shared his appreciation for the project and the hard work and dedication of the entire Primont team in building this community and new homes in the city of Vaughan. “I want to thank you for the choices you’ve made, and every worker who has brought their expertise to this project. Your hard work and dedication are helping to fuel our economy and making home ownership possible for so many.”
After the speeches, guests enjoyed a catered lunch and cool treats from the ice cream truck, taking a moment to relax and connect while surrounded by the impressive progress on site. SXSW is more than just Towers 1 and 2, it is a thoughtfully planned master-planned community with resort-style amenities and modern townhomes, created to offer something for everyone.
As construction continues on the next two towers and the townhomes, SXSW will become a destination that blends convenience, comfort, and connection, enhancing life in the city of Vaughan for years to come. We look forward to celebrating future milestones and sharing more updates as this dynamic community rises.
