Every once in a while we experience the desire to escape our usual surroundings and spend a day treating ourselves to something new. Luckily, as GTA residents we are surrounded by several quaint places to visit less than 2 hours away. Whether you want to immerse yourself in nature, or indulge in shopping and dining – these are 5 places outside the GTA you should day trip to this summer.

Charming shops, rich history, scenic nature, and famous restaurants – the town of Orangeville allows you to choose your own adventure. As an outdoor enthusiast, you’ll have plenty of options for nature explorations with the Island Lake and Terra Cotta Conservation Areas nearby. For history lovers, enjoy walking tours like the Art Walk of Tree Sculptures or the Footsteps from our Past historical tour. If you’d rather spend your day shopping and dining, then hit Orangeville main street, Broadway, and enjoy unique shops and highly rated restaurants.
